This piece is inspired by the famous mouse adventurer, Geronimo Stilton, whose crazy adventures always amuse me. This is a running series about Tommy tiger and his friend Bobby the baby beluga whale. I have always enjoyed writing children's stories because you can put whatever crazy information in it, but as long as it flows well it is fine. This story is the same so be ready for a trip to Jambovi.

It is very interesting. There are just some small parts that I think aren’t quite “kid friendly”. I’ve never read a book as a child that involved tasers, sharks hunting, or death. It also involves a fairly lengthy battle with Lord Voldemort, which I think that any kid who hasn’t read “Harry Potter” would be very confused on. But besides that, I think that any kid would read your story.

I also found your writing quite interesting. I must say, the plot seemed irrational, and quite violent by the way of children's storys. You do have a unique voice, however.
ReplyDeleteThis story is very different. Never had i read a story that included some much violence and scary images in a childrens story. Although you never did say that this was a childrens story. Maybe if you changed used humans rather than animals this story could be classified as a short story. You did a very good job and i really want to read your next story.
ReplyDeleteThat story was definitely out there. I think the biggest issue with this piece was the word choice. Knowing you, I know you could write a piece filled with all sorts of imagery and everything but this story was seriously lacking. I understand that that could be because its meant to be a children's book but if thats the case you've got bigger issues to work out here haha not to mention several huge gaps in the plot
ReplyDeleteSidd, I found this piece to be rather humerous at some parts, I find it funny that you took inspiration from Harry Potter and used it in your own story. Over all it was an interesting story, although not appropriate for children and I think you could include more to make the story make a little more sense. Other than that it was a unique story and I enjoyed reading it.
