The Song is a short story that follows Kelly, an American soldier in Iraq. Despite the conditions it self Kelly has another problem, another soldier named Conrad. In this story Kelly and Conrad under go some exsperiences neither one of them would exspect.
I was inspired to write this piece after writing a free write will listening to a war like song in class. (Free write included) Enjoy!

Zach, this is a really good piece, but it feels like you could have developed your plot and characters more. It would have been nice to see a little more emotion in either of the characters instead of them just acting like robots. But I do like some of the events that happened in the camp as they seemed authentic.
ReplyDeleteZach, I really liked the setting of your piece. It seemed really realistic and your idea about naming the dog was creative. It was a little rushed but other than that a very good piece. Good job!
